Cornwall:
The Land of the Gods
Author: T.F.G Dexter This is a facsimile reprint of this long out of print work. Cornwall is often called the Land of the Saints, but according to historian T. F. G. Dexter this should be the Land of the Gods. When Christianity came to Cornwall it replaced earlier pagan beliefs, often the stories of the saints was in fact a sanitized version of this pagan religion. This is the most far reaching study ever written about pagan Cornwall. Item: NB0001 |

Names: An Attempt to Explain Over 1600 Cornish Names
Author: T.F.G Dexter This is a facsimile reprint of this long out of print work. “This book is not a mere Glossary of Cornish names. If it were, the Names would have been arranged in alphabetical order and much labour would have been saved. True, the book is an effort to explain over sixteen hundred Cornish Names, but it is something more — it is an attempt to show the reader how he can interpret many more for himself, and we will accompany the reader and show how the book may be profitably used.” Item: NB0002 |

A
Cornish Legend: The Three Churches of Perranzabuloe
Author: T.F.G Dexter This is a facsimile reprint of this long out of print work. This small volume packs a great deal into its 36 pages. Founded by St. Piran the original chapel, St. Piran's Oratory, was covered by sand in a great storm and lay hidden for centuries until it was unearthed in 1835. In Norman times another church was built here, it too suffered the same fate and was abandoned in the early 19th century. The third church, the present one was built further inland for obvious reasons! T. F. G. Dexter has given us a well researched study of these three churches. Well illustrated with B&W photographs, engravings and line drawings. Item: NB0004 |

Civilisation
in Britain 2000 B.C.
Author: T.F.G Dexter This is a facsimile reprint of this long out of print work. Did the Britons of 2000 B.C. enjoy a civilisation imported by voyagers from far-away lands, seeking gold, tin, and copper? Was Britain colonized by Egyptians and other eastern races 4000 years ago? Were the megaliths in Cornwall and Wales constructed by the same men who built the pyramids? Or was pre-Roman civilisation in Britain entirely homegrown? This volume intends to discover the answers to these questions. Well illustrated with B&W photographs, engravings and line drawings. Item: NB0005 |
